Enhanced Performance and Storage Optimization

According to Xiaomi, HyperOS promises improved performance, optimized storage usage, enhanced personalization options, and more. The company has disclosed a list of eligible devices and outlined the rollout schedule, with some devices already receiving the update in the country.

HyperOS reportedly reduces the average response delay for scheduling critical tasks by 14% and decreases the delay in task switching by 16%. Additionally, users can anticipate a 17% reduction in message delivery delay.

In terms of storage efficiency, HyperOS occupies significantly less space compared to MIUI 14. While MIUI 14 consumed 12.53GB of storage, HyperOS requires only 9.14GB. Moreover, the storage occupancy for OTA updates has been slashed by 79%.

Enhanced Personalization Features

The HyperOS update introduces new personalization options for lock screens and home screens, providing users with greater customization flexibility. Additionally, the control center has been overhauled to streamline device control, featuring a new media player widget in the notification screen.

HyperOS introduces a new system font called MiSansGlobal, boasting support for over 600 languages, more than 1 lakh glyphs, and 20 writing systems. Furthermore, the floating window has been redesigned to facilitate multitasking, enabling users to view multiple applications simultaneously.

With HyperOS, Xiaomi aims to elevate the user experience by delivering enhanced performance, storage optimization, and a wide array of personalization options. As the rollout progresses, eligible Xiaomi device owners can expect to experience these improvements firsthand, enhancing their overall smartphone and tablet usage.
