Reports suggest that the revised fee structure does not include the 18 per cent GST that will be imposed on the seller fee. Sellers on Amazon are required to pay a fee based on the items they sell through the platform.

Some notable adjustments in the fee structure include:

  1. Luxury Beauty: The fee has transitioned from a flat 5 per cent to a tiered system, reaching up to 10 per cent.
  2. Sleepwear Category: Seller fees for this category will witness an increase, moving from 11-15 per cent to a range of 13.5-19 per cent.
  3. Home Improvement: The seller fee for home improvement products is set to rise from 9 per cent to 13.5 per cent.

Conversely, Amazon India has reduced fees for certain categories such as baby apparel products, inverters, batteries, and others. Despite these adjustments, the company has not provided immediate comments regarding the fee revisions.
